Confidence Smiles, Arrogance Smirks!!!

Before you shed your ideas and thoughts, you should make yourself crystal clear with these two identical terms, "CONFIDENCE" and "ARROGANCE". Going through the dictionary I found Confidence coined as a faith or belief that one will act in a right, proper and effective way while Arrogance resembles as an insulting way of thinking or behaving that comes from believing that you are better, smarter and more important than other people. Confident people are very aware and accepting of their short comings and weaknesses but arrogant ones feel insecure about it. Arrogance is all about trying to prove yourself while confidence is about trying to improve yourself. Arrogance may lead you to a better future but Confidence leads to a successful one too.

Superiority is the main quality of an arrogant person. Arrogant people are single-minded; they either think that they are superior to others or inferior to them. This arrogance may be nothing more than a way to cover the feelings of inferiority they experience when dealing with someone else. It seems they feel better when they tear others down. On the contrary, confident people are high-minded, because they can feel good without having a desire to offend others. They usually see people’s potential and can help them succeed in something. Relationships with arrogant people can be a great source of potential pain. Such people live in their own world of self-importance and pride and nothing affects them. They cannot accept their weaknesses or faults with grace, but blame others for them. A truly self-confident person is able to show vulnerability and even admit past mistakes. This quality is highly appreciated by others. By the way, arrogant people can sacrifice friendship or other relationships at the cost of their success. Might be now I think that I have make some clear points to differentiate the confusion between the words "confidence" and "Arrogance". Not only these many quotes are quoted in day to day life to symbolize the greatness between these words and in due course here's one quote stating, "To succeed in life, you need two things: ignorance and confidence." -Mark Twain, an American author and humourist.

By taking confidence as base I here do not want to put shadow in arrogance, as arrogance is also a part of human successful character, if taken in a positive aspects of life. A positive arrogant have the feeling of if others can then cannot he, which leads to a successful future. If there exists no arrogance then there will not be the existence of confidence too as these two are often coined as the two wheels of a cart. In some cases an arrogant person may have more skills than a confident person, but the confident person will tend to wield whatever abilities they have with more calm control than an arrogant person can. Finally, confidence and arrogance have different origins. Arrogance is usually the result of a defence mechanism used by subconscious mind in order to prevent further criticism. Confidence comes from positivity, optimism and mental steadiness. So now it's up to you if you choose to be arrogant or confident.
